As the Secretary for CMTA, I will bring an established, strong network of finance professionals in the private sector as well as government agencies. I will be honored to serve my colleagues throughout California. I'm committed and enjoy challenge, which is what I have always enjoyed most about my career path thus far. There will be many changes needed to provide the services needed for our cities and agencies as well as the citizens we serve. It will be important to have strong financial reporting mechanisms in place, including long range forecasts, to provide our Councils and Boards with accurate and timely information. My background in private industry and government, serving in a variety of positions including auditing, cash management, financial reporting, budgeting, and support functions including payroll, payables, receivables and cash receipts has prepared me for this next step in my career. My resume is attached for your reference. I've recently taken on the role of managing the Treasury function for our City and welcome the opportunity to serve the CMTA organization while working to learn more about Treasury services. I recently applied to begin the CCMTC program and am very excited about the wealth of knowledge available to learn how to improve our Treasury services. I've always appreciated the wonderful collaborative spirit of the people in CMTA and look forward to serving you and working to improve and continue the educational and networking opportunities that this organization offers. The team at CMTA is strong, our people are capable, and together we will accomplish many new things moving forward!
