CMTA Conversations: The Economy, Markets and a Brief Look at How Narratives Influence Events

Registration Fee: Free for members / $30 for non-members

Chris Ahrens, will provide a market veteran’s view of the current state of the economy, reviewing some of the standard markers for performance, as well as offering up some more idiosyncratic guideposts for monitoring activity. Building on that review, he will also highlight where he sees relative value across the spectrum of fixed income investments applicable to municipal portfolios. In addition, Chris will briefly discuss some of the developing thinking regarding “Narrative Economics” with a nod to the role played by social media in driving events.
